About Us
Although the young people at Aaban have many things in common with each other there are also some differences. This is because they are coping with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Aaban delivers specialist trauma informed, recovery-focused Assessment, Treatment and Care services for young people who have complex social, emotional and mental health needs.
Typically, we support our young people to achieve the recovery outcomes that they are currently struggling with in their existing circumstances or living situations.

Ethos
Aaban provides a bespoke model of care designed to meet individual needs, and our philosophy is based on the principles of normalisation; social inclusion; least restrictive practise; rights and responsibilities; choice; and unconditional positive regard for everyone.
Our working practices respect and value individuals regardless of culture; gender; sexual orientation; race; religion; age or disability.

Mutual Expectations
At Aaban we understand that some of the challenging behaviours that our young people can present with are due to them not having an understanding about how they are expected to behave or due to a lack of consistency between staff about what these expectations are.
