Fire Safety

Just in case there’s a fire, there are fire call points all around each unit and The Hub. Anyone can activate these if they spot a fire and this will cause the fire alarm to sound.

If the fire alarm does sound (it’s very loud) young people are asked and helped by staff to get out of the building they’re in by the nearest exit and assemble at the evacuation-point so we know they are safe.

Each young person also has their own individual care plan that explains how you they will be supported in the event of a fire (or other emergency). This is referred to as a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP).
