Providence: Timely Preparation for the Future

1 James Street, Providence House, is named after the definition of ‘timely preparation for the future’.

Providence is a modern, 10 bed, fully en-suite facility, Purpose-built by specialist architects, it’s designed to meet the complex needs of our young people in a homely environment, and provide them with both dignity and privacy throughout their stay.

Providence Unit is a secure and locked environment where young people would stay if:

• They have mental health difficulties
• They need extra support
• They have had difficulties keeping yourself safe.
• They have previously put themselves, or others, at risk.
• They have previously run away and people were concerned about them.

At Providence Unit we will support young people in feeling and keeping safe by providing a very high level of care at times when you need it most. Young people will have a team of professionals working with them and to listen to them. Together we agree on a plan of care that best meets young people’s needs.
