Hub

The Hub is just across the road from Providence and Moira. Young people come to The Hub to take part in and enjoy activities and interventions as part of their therapeutic timetable.

There’s a therapy room where you may see a member of the Psychology team for 1:1 sessions, this room can also be used for family visits. There’s an Occupational Therapy kitchen where young people can practice cooking and baking; and a dining and lounge area where they can watch TV and have some quiet time. There’s a classroom, that includes sensory equipment, where young people can study. There’s a group room where young people can take part in playful creative arts therapy and DBT skills.

There’s also a mini-gym (with a running machine, exercise bike and multi-gym) where young people can work off excess energy and keep fit. If that’s not their thing, there’s a small, decked area where they can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.
All these facilities, and more, can be used as part of young people’s planners or at other times throughout the week, and at the weekend.

Being different is a gift. It makes me see things from outside the box
