Staying In Touch

Visits

We recognise that spending quality time with family and friends is important. This is part of the reason why we don’t have specific visiting times. So, for the most part, guests are free to come and go as they please.

The only thing we ask is that visitors don’t interfere with the times of the planned treatment programme. We have a designated space for young people and can support young people to maintain relationships with their family throughout their stay.

Phone Calls

We also encourage young people to keep in touch by phone in their free time, outside of the therapeutic timetable. We have a unit mobile phone that they can use if they don’t have their own.

Going out with friends and family

We encourage young people, should they wish, to go out with family and friends from time to time. However, this needs to be discussed and agreed with the staff team beforehand. It’s important that it doesn’t interfere with each young person’s treatment programme.

On line

Each unit has wifi to help young people keep in touch with family and friends – there’s also a unit laptop that they can use.

And so, we are all connected in the
great circle of life.
